🧐 What Are Imperatives?
We use imperatives to give commands, instructions, or to make requests. They are very easy!
Positive (+) Imperatives
These tell us what to do.
Structure: Verb + ...
- Listen to the teacher.
- Open your book.
- Help your friends.
Negative (-) Imperatives
These tell us what not to do.
Structure: Don't + Verb + ...
- Don't talk in class.
- Don't run in the classroom.
- Don't forget your homework.
