Let's learn and practice English pronouns!
Subject pronouns do the action in a sentence. They are: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
Example: She is a doctor. (Who is a doctor? She is.)
1. is my brother. (talking about a boy)
2. are playing soccer. (talking about a group of people)
3. is a sunny day. (talking about the weather)
4. My name is Maria. am a student.
5. My friends and I are here. are ready to start.
Possessive determiners show who owns something. They come before a noun. They are: my, your, his, her, its, our, their.
Example: That is her book. (The book belongs to her.)
1. I have a cat. That is cat.
2. He has a new car. car is red.
3. The dog is wagging tail.
4. We live in a big house. This is house.
5. They are students. Those are backpacks.
Indefinite pronouns refer to people or things without saying exactly who or what they are. Examples: someone, anybody, everything, nothing.
Example: Someone is at the door. (We don't know who.)
1. I'm hungry, but there is in the fridge. (nothing / anything)
2. Does have a pencil I can borrow? (somebody / anybody)
3. Shhh! I think I heard . (something / everything)
4. She is very popular. likes her. (Nobody / Everybody)
5. The house is empty. There is here. (anybody / nobody)
