Once upon a time, in a peaceful village nestled between rolling hills, lived an unusual bull named Bumble. Unlike other bulls who spent their days grazing in the meadows, Bumble had a peculiar hobby - he loved to read books.

Every morning, after a hearty breakfast of fresh grass, Bumble would trot down to his favorite spot by the brook. He would settle down under the shade of a large willow tree, with the gentle babbling of the brook as his background music.

Bumble had a vast collection of books. He loved all kinds of stories - from thrilling adventures and mysteries to heartwarming tales of friendship and love. The villagers were always amused to see Bumble engrossed in his books. They would often bring him new ones to read, curious to see what the book-loving bull would enjoy next.

One day, Bumble was reading a book about a brave bull who saved his village from a terrible storm. As he read, he became so absorbed in the story that he didn't notice the dark clouds gathering overhead.

Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder brought him back to reality. He looked up to see the villagers running for cover as the rain began to pour. Bumble quickly gathered his precious books and started running towards the village.

Just then, he noticed that the brook was starting to overflow. If he didn't do something soon, it would flood the village! Remembering the story he had just read, Bumble decided to act.

He rushed towards the brook and using his strong body, he started pushing rocks and mud to create a barrier. It was hard work, but Bumble didn't give up. After what seemed like hours, he finally managed to divert the water away from the village.

The villagers cheered as they saw what Bumble had done. From that day forward, they no longer saw him as just an unusual bull who liked to read books by the brook. They saw him as their hero - a brave bull who used what he learned from his books to save his village.

Here are some tips for getting the most out of this site.

Beginners: My strategy is to first read the translation while listening to the audio. Then I listen to each sentence individually. After that, I practice saying the vocabulary words out loud. Finally, I listen to the whole text again without reading the translation. I don't try to remember or understand everything. I just let the language sink in as I gain more exposure. Intermediate Learners: To gain some speaking practice, try opening the translation in your native language and then translate it back into the language you're learning. If you encounter any difficulties, you can refer to the transcripts.

Although you may use these lessons for short, intense study sessions, it's important for intermediate learners to engage in extensive listening and reading with simple books, TV shows, and podcasts as soon as possible.
